The South Burlington School District seeks dedicated volunteers for its Finance Committee. We value diverse viewpoints and perspectives from our community.
Duties include:
Educate the community about the education funding formula, school budget, and tax implications.
Advocate for South Burlington to the legislature.
Provide feedback opportunities for community members.
Share information about the Board-approved budget.
We are looking for residents who can:
Attend monthly committee meetings during the school year (proposed second Tuesdays of the month starting September 11th)
Participate in additional meetings and community forums.
Engage in advocacy and community outreach beyond meeting times.
Willingly engage in conversations about student services and priorities.
Desire to learn about school funding and state learning standards.
Commit to supporting the School District's mission.
Make a difference in our school community.
