Guidelines for Publishing Student Information
on District Internet and Intranet Web Pages
8/21/01

  1. Pictures of students taken at public events, such as football games, concerts, or track meets, that are open to the general public may be used on web pages without obtaining written permission from the students’ parents. Names or other descriptive information that would identify the students in such pictures cannot be published without written permission.
  2. Pictures of students that do not have any identifying features visible (e.g., pictures taken from the back of a student) do not require release forms.
  3. For ALL other pictures of students, a signed "Student Privacy Form" must be obtained prior to publication.
  4. Student names and/or email addresses may be published on web pages ONLY if parents give written permission to do so.
  5. All students must have a signed "Student Privacy Form" before any of their work is published on the web.  To view (or print) a copy of the form, click here.

If you have ANY question about publishing any student information, please contact the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) coordinator, Bob DiFerdinando, 652-7390, BobD@sbschools.net.
