Computer & Technology Camps Summer, 2008 Grades 1 - 12

The South Burlington School District will be offering a series of computer and technology camps again this summer.  Programs have been designed that will be suitable for students who will be entering first grade through twelfth grade next fall.  Most camps will run for 5 days, 3 hours each day.  Students may register for one or more than one camp and may attend multiple sessions of some camps.

• Digital Storytelling, Grades 6-8, July 7th-11th, 9 am-Noon
• Lights, Cameras, Action!, Grades 6-8, July 14th-18th, 9am-Noon

We also added the following two new camps on 4/28/08:

• Programming a Computer Game with HyperStudio, Grade 4-8, August 4th-8th, 9 am-Noon
• Programming a Computer Game with HyperStudio, Grade 4-8, August 4th-8th, 1 pm-4 pm

The registration form can be viewed by clicking here. Please print the registration form and mail it in with your check (made out to the South Burlington School District).

Each South Burlington school will also have copies of the camp descriptions and the registration forms.  If you have any questions, please call 652-7390.

Registration/Participation Details:

• The camps are open to all--they are not limited to South Burlington residents.
• Students may register for one or more than one camp.
• Students may attend multiple sessions of the same camp IF they have the permission of the instructor.
• Successful campers will be able to work independently, with guidance and support from the instructor. If your child may need special accommodations in this setting, please let us know so we can help you determine how to ensure his/her success.
• Enrollment is limited to 9 – 12 campers per instructor.
• We reserve the right to cancel any under-enrolled camps.
• We also reserve the right to dismiss students for serious behavioral issues/problems.  Registration fees for a student dismissed for such an issue or problem will NOT be refunded.
• There will be No Refunds (unless a camp is cancelled). We will mail you a confirmation of registration when we have enough registrations to run each camp or a refund if a camp is cancelled.
